Donna Kay Porfily 59, of Prineville went to be with the lord on March 10, 2019 after a courageous battle with stomach cancer.
Donna was born in Salida Colorado on March 17, 1959 to Willard and Elizabeth Clark. She attended grade school and high school in Covina California. From there she moved to Carbon County Utah. From there she moved to Central Oregon for the rest of her life.
She started her career as an EMT, Mill worker next, construction flagger, concrete truck driver, dump truck driver, office manager and dispatcher until retirement.
Donna is survived by her husband Frank Porfily, sons Mike(Sabrina) Heath and Eric(Jennifer) Jaramillo, Parents Ruth(Dave) Buckendorff, siblings Don(Kim) Clark, Karen Clark, step children
Scott(Crista) Porfily, Brian(Jen) Porfily, Angie Porfily, 6 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her father, stepson & Maggie and Baby.
Donna throughout her whole life was actively helping anyone in need. She was devoted to taking care of the people and animals she loved. Her Family was her life. She was kind, loving, talented, sharing and strong willed. She made a difference no matter where she was.
The last part of her life she was actively involved in the Central Oregon Wild Horse Coalition, taking care for the wild horses in the Ochoco mountains. She loved them so much she adopted one named Bandit, they bonded instantly and she will watch out for him from heaven. Donna’s family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Hospice, all the doctors and nurses that helped in making her comfortable for her last weeks of her life.
As an honor in her memory we will have a celebration of life on May 25th, 2019 at 12 pm that will be held at the Prineville Golf and Country Club in Prineville, Oregon.
