Donald Newton Fearrien, 93, passed away July 5, 2018 at his home in Prineville. Donald was born in Eureka, California January 19, 1925 to Edward & Christine (Boniksen) Fearrien.
Donald was a graduate of Redmond High School, he later married Joyce Rickman in Powell Butte, Oregon. Donald served his country during WWII in the United States Army. He was a rancher, buckaroo and he was a bronc rider. Donald owned ranches in Paulina, Dayville, Terrebonne and Lone Pine. He also managed several ranches in Eastern, Oregon.
Donald greatly loved poetry, painting, rawhiding, storytelling and square dancing. He was one of the founders of the Paulina Rodeo, he was married to the love of his life for 63 years and received the Bronze Star Medal in WWII.
Donald is survived by his son Newton L. Fearrien , one grandson Anthony Beaver and one great grandchild Micah Beaver. He is preceded in death by his wife Joyce and his siblings.
