Diane Hinkle passed away on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 at the age of 72, in the loving arms of her husband and family. She was a wonderful mother and friend to all and active in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives.
After she and her husband retired from running a successful business together for 30 years they traveled the country and helped build homes with the Habitat for Humanity group “Care-A-Vanners” for 8 years. They moved from Wisconsin to Oregon in 2013 to be back among the mountains, where she found a community she loved.
She loved to go to the Pee Wee rodeos and watch the young children, their parents and grandparents having so much fun. As a young girl Diane raised half Arabian horses with her father and competed in pole bending and barrel racing with the local posse association in Roy, Utah.
During her last year Diane fought bravely and without complaint against cancer and lung disease. Diane’s loving nature and laugh will live on through her husband of 51 years, adult children, their spouses, grandchildren, sister and brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bert and Chloe Herrick.
There will be a private celebration of life at a later date.
