Claire Tanney Obituary

"Mommy cuddle me please, cuddle me mommy."

Some souls are not meant to be bound to this world, they are to kind too caring and too care free to be weighed down by the struggles of life.  Claire Alyse Tanney was born on June 20th 2014 and in 5 short years changed the lives of everyone she touched.

Claire grew up into a strong and independent little girl, but had the sweetest heart and kindest soul. So full of life and spunk.  She was all knees, elbows and wiggles.  Bounding across the room yelling, "Cannonball!" before diving into your lap, being sure to hit all the vital organs.  She once declared her “half” of mommy’s bed was in the middle, and she made good on that statement.  She wasn't like the other kids, her favorite part about school was her stickers and friends. She loved to share her toys and bring joy to others. Claire had never once met a stranger. She would decide whether or not she liked someone, and that was that.  Her mommy would joke that she was just trying her best to give Claire morals and values so she would run a company and not a prison gang.  Claire was the little girl on top of the world and everyone knew she was meant for important things.  She left a lasting impression on people just passing by, so much so, that her antics were remembered when they crossed paths again.

Claire loved salad, and thought calamari and seaweed were delicious. She wanted to be a baker and she loved to help mom bake, even though she didn't eat much after it was done, chocolate was her favorite the more layers the better!  Never one to settle, if you asked Claire what her favorite color was, she would tell you "The rainbow." There was no desire for just one color, she loved them all.  She was an artist. There was never a time where she wouldn’t be happy coloring, painting or making crafts.

Claire Bear loved to perform, in almost every video of her she is singing and dancing or playing an instrument.  She loved the water, nature and the woods. She often came home with mommy’s bag weighed down with treasures (rocks, leaves, sticks).  Lately, she's picked up the hobby of painting rocks to display in the front yard.  She wanted to be cuddled and kissed constantly.  She would say "Uppy me mommy, uppy me" when she wanted mom to pick her up…  it was always a surprise as to whether or not she would give a kiss or lick your face at the last second.

To celebrate her 5th birthday Claire was dressed as Princess Belle, crown, gloves, jewels and all.  Her dad had to sit with her because she wouldn’t quit talking long enough to hear the story being told.   On June 28th Claire Alyse Tanney spent her final morning with her father on Redfish Lake in Idaho doing what she loved while surrounded by nature on the water.  She passed from this world on June 29th at 1:30am Mountain time.  Maybe the world just wasn't ready for our baby girl. There's one thing that is for sure, she taught love by living it every day.

She took a piece of my heart and soul with her to keep until we meet again.

I love you baby.
