Calvin Dubisar joined his wife in heaven on December 15th, 2017
Calvin Donald Dubisar was born January 21st, 1933 in New England, North Dakota to Rose Wendling and Joseph Dubisar. When Uncle Sam called him into duty and his name came up in the draft Cal enrolled in the U. S. Army in 1953. After serving 2 years during the Korean War he was honorably discharged in 1955. On August 12th, 1954 he married the love of his life Josephine Eugenia Urlacher and moved to Bend Oregon. From there he moved to Prineville to work for Hudspeth mill. He became good friends with Ken Stovall and was asked by Ken to go work for him in a new mill that started up by the name of Bright Wood Corp. in Madras. Cal worked there from 1967 to 1997. During that time he bought the old Puckett place in Crook County. There he raised alfalfa, cattle, hogs and some mint. He sold that ranch in 2005 and moved up to Upper Davis Loop. During this time he married his second wife Bernice. In 2015 he moved to a home in Prineville.
Woodworking was his passion and he was always working on a new project be it china hutches, book shelves or wooden toys. He also loved to bowl, water ski and fish. He was an active member in the Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He believed in attending church no matter what and almost never miss a weekly Mass. He was also active in the Eagles Lodge. Cal loved his children and was active in all their activities whether it involved multiple sport teams or livestock in 4H and FFA including sheep, cattle and pigs. He loved his community and was always there to help where he could.
He was the last of the eight siblings to join his parents in heaven. He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine and his daughter Michelle. He survived by his sons Allen Dubisar, Anthony Dubisar, son-in-law Keith Reynolds, his grandchildren Cody, Shandy and Shane and 4 greatgrandchildren, multiple cousins, nephews and nieces.
