Bonita Leigh (Peeden) Althiser

Bonita Leigh Althiser died of cancer at her home on July 3, 2018 at the age of 62.  She was born Bonita Leigh Peeden in Greensboro North Carolina on June 13, 1956.  She married Lloyd G. Althiser, Jr. on April 2, 1983 and spent many years in upstate NY before the family moved to Prineville OR in 1996.  She was a good wife, mother and grandmother who absolutely adored kids, dogs, camping, flowers and good friends and family.  Bonita is survived by her husband, three sons and two daughters, and seven grandchildren, and many, many friends.  Her sole goal in life was to have a family.  She will be sorely missed.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Prineville Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 7 PM.  Please share your stories you have of her.  In lieu of flowers, donations made in her name to the American Cancer Society, or the Freedom House Charities in Greensboro NC at helpfreedomhouse.org, would be appreciated.  For those who wish to attend this service remotely there will be a private video link available.  Please contact the funeral home for more information.
