A. Howard Anderson of Prineville, Oregon passed away July 4, 2018, following a long battle with cancer, He passed away at home surrounded by family.
Internment will be Wednesday July 11th at 10:00 am, Juniper Haven Cemetery.
Memorial Service will be held July 21st at 11:00 am, Our Saviors Lutheran Church Prineville Oregon.
Howard was born in Portland Oregon on December 25th 1938 to Arthur and Margaret (Skov) Anderson. Howard lived on 
a farm at Barlow Oregon from birth to High School graduation. After graduating from Canby High school Howard attended Pacific Lutheran University for 2 years. At the death of his father Howard moved back to help with the farm, and worked in a plywood mill in Brookings Oregon.
Howard went back to school at Portland State University for 1 year then transfered to Oregon State University and graduated as a pharmacist in 1964. During the college years he met and married Mary Ellen Klein. Howard and Mary Ellen moved to Bend Oregon had a son and a daughter and eventually moved to Lincoln City where Howard worked as a pharmacist for Folkestad Pharmacy.
In 1975 after Howard and family moved back to Bend Oregon his marriage ended in divorce. Howard stayed in Bend and worked for Payless Drug Store. He met and married Darlene Jordan of Prineville Oregon. Who survives at their home in Prineville Oregon.
Howard and Darlene moved to LaPine where they bought and ran LaPine Drug Store in 1980. They lived and worked in LaPine for 18 years.  Howard retired and he and Darlene moved to Prineville where Howard continued with his hunting, fishing, traveling and most recently woodworking. He also did volunteer work for Oregon Fish and Wildlife. Howard was actively involved in Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
Howard is survived but his wife Darlene Jordan Anderson, son Mark Anderson of Bend Oregon, daughter and son in law Melissa and Laurent Rabier of Paris France.  Also surviving are his siblings Lois Harris of Salem Oregon, Shirley McLaughlin of Portland Oregon, Wayne Anderson of Corvallis Oregon, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Margaret Anderson and numerous aunts and uncles.
