Antonio Machado “Tony” Espinola Jr., 91 of Prineville, OR. passed away Wednesday February 7th, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Tony was born on July 26th, 1926 to Antonio Sr. and Maria Espinola in Tulare County California. Tony was the oldest of seven children, including six sisters. He grew up on a dairy farm and spent most of his life working with cattle. Tony was a celebrated Ringman for cattle auctions beginning in Riverbank California and eventually moved to Oregon where he worked stockyards in Redmond, Madras and The Dalles. Tony would tell people that he was practically born under a milk cow and loved working with cattle. He was so good at his job that some people would come to the auction block just to watch him work. Tony continued to work late into his life and it was often said that he worked harder than men half his age. Most knew Tony as a genuine, honest, hard working, kind man of high values. Tony and Lyn were married on February 17th, 2005. Tony was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 22nd, 2010 and faithfully shared his faith with those in the community for as long as he was able, all the while looking forward to Jehovah’s promise of a resurrection here on the earth.
He enjoyed being with family & friends & will look forward to seeing all of them in Gods New World on earth. Tony is survived by his wife Lyn Espinola of Prineville, son Alvin (Kim) Paulina Oregon, son Martin (Margie) of Roseburg Oregon, son Jim Espinola of Wasilla Alaska, and stepson Sam Bafus (Sheilah) of Prineville Oregon, as well all of his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren.
