Verlin Dixon Obituary

Verlin Dee Dixon transitioned into his next life, at his home in Prineville, OR on April 11th 2024, surrounded by his daughters and family.

Verlin was born in Kirksville, MO on January 19, 1959. Shorty after, his whole family moved to Prineville, OR. Most of his childhood he grew up out OCHCO west, doing farm work with his siblings Calvin, Gene, and Barbara.  Verlin roamed that area going hiking,  hunting,  and fishing. Oh boy he loved his fishing!

In his late teen years he moved to Oregon city, OR for work. Soon he met the love of his life Lori and married on September 8th, 1979. Several years later had three daughters Danielle, Ashley, and Brittany.

Verlin worked most of his life in the medical field, fixing medical equipment which allowed him to travel all over Oregon and sometimes out of state.

In his down time he really loved fishing. Anywhere he could cast a line, you bet he would! He enjoyed watching wrestling, The Trail Blazers, and anything that would give him a good laugh. He also had a great love for music. Him and his brothers would spend all night singing and play guitar together.

He adored his family and made sure to be a part of every family event. Especially if there was food! Verlin sure did love his food, and how it could bring people together.

Verlin had one of the biggest hearts a person could have. He would do anything to help anyone in any situation.  That love guided him throughout this life, and has been embedded in many life's.

Verlin was preceded in death by his mother and father: Velma Dixon, Vernon Dixon. Wife: Lori Lynn Dixon. Brother: Virgil Gene Dixon. Sister: Barbara McGee.

He is survived by his Brothers: Calvin Dixon, Brian McGee. Son: Matthew Hooven. Daughters: Danielle, Ashley, Brittany. Nieces and nephews: Clayton McGee, Brandy Batson, Buster Dixon, Erin M., Josh and Caleb Moore. We cannot forget to mention his adopted daughter Rashelle, and his beloved dog Buddy.
