Duane E Reynvaan

Duane Reynvaan passed away at his home on Nov. 20, 2016.  Duane was born Aug. 12, 1939 and spent nearly his entire life working in the logging and transportation industry throughout Oregon and Washington.  Duane has made his home in Prineville since 1985 when he returned from 14 years logging in the Longview, WA area. He and Marlene were married October 10, 1990 in Prineville.  His parents, Arthur and Lillian Reynvaan preceded him in death as did his sister, Karen and Beverly as well as his brother Robert.  Duane was also a singer-musician, performing with Robert for many years.  Wherever they played, friends and family alike enjoyed their unique talents and the best dance beat one could possibly hear. Duane will also be remembered for restoring, building and loving classic and race cars, especially building motors that had to roar to be right.  Duane is survived by wife, Marlene Reynvaan, his son, Joel Reynvaan and Sarah Martin of Tumwater, WA; daughters Darla, Brenda and Karen; his brothers Bill Reynvaan & Jimmy Reynvaan; sister Glenda Petty; as well as step-son John Cleveland, step-daughters Jennifer Giles and Stevie Saleem.  Duane requested no service to be held.  However, the family is planning a celebration of life in January 2017.  The date and location in Prineville will be determined soon.
