Dear Doug, Wish I could be there for your beautiful "Celebration of Life" and fly over. I remember the fun times we had as kids and adored your cute dimples and smile. A piece of my heart went with you. Our family will all be back together some day. Your life made a difference too many. Love, Julie

So terribly sorry to hear of Doug's passing. I remember and admire him as a very good track athlete at Milwaukie High. I was very fortunate to have enjoyed him as a teammate. I have thought of him often over the years.

I met Doug when working with him in our rural water district. He was always considerate to me. He gave of himself to help not only the water district,l in hard manual labor, but to anyone living in our area that needed help. He helped so much last winter as the snow rose to two feet deep with neighbors and residents in our area. He helped his neighbor, Robin Taylor, shovel his way out of his drive, a single neighbor shovel her porch to her mailbox, my 90 year old neighbor to make sure her pipes were heating & ice broken from gutters so she wouldn't be in harms way. He helped me shovel snow from my roof to stop the leaking water from melting snow around my roof vents to prevent further damage. I do not remember a single time that Doug didn't offer help for anyone that needed it. God be with him. He was a kind and gracious neighbor and friend. Donna Miller

Mt Bro-In-Law. Doug was the brother I never had. We agreed on almost all things and could talk for hours on end. He loved philosophy and pondering why humans do what they do. When asked, he was always there with sage advice. I believe I am one of many that have these fond memories and feel so fortunate. The positive impact/influence of Douglas E. Watson lives on!
