Charles Craddock Obituary

CHARLES KENNETH CRADDOCK, 86, passed away April 1, 2018 at his home in Prineville. Kenneth was born June 1, 1931 in Pickins, Oklahoma to Ted and Edith (Williams) Craddock. He attended grade school in Oklahoma before the family moved to Prineville in 1948.

Ken joined the Army in 1951 and served in the Korean War. After he served, he moved back to Oregon and met the love of his life, Lois Bussett. The two were married in Powell Butte on October 13, 1956. They later had a son and 4 daughters.

Kenneth was a hard worker. He worked in construction, which included work on the Green Peter Dam and Bowman Dam. He worked as a timber fallers for many years and he also owned 2 service stations in Prineville (Craddock's Flying A and Craddock's Arco).

He enjoyed fishing, especially at the Snake River, Camping, Field Trials (dog races) and hunting with his hound dogs. He loved spending time with his wife, kids, grandkids and great granddaughters. He will be greatly missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Kenneth Steven, his sister Bobbie Sue Blackwell and a brother Wesley.

He is survived by his wife Lois of 61 years, daughters Patty (Fred) Harper, Peggy (Jen) York, Pam (Daren) Curry and Ponda (Kevin) Maden, 8 grandchildren- Lacey, Wes, Wade, Dallas, Garrett, Shelby, Sammi and Tanner, 2 great granddaughters-Bailey and Morgan, and his brother Ted. He also leaves his little dog Sissy, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends.

 A potluck lunch will be held at the Prineville Elks after the service.
