Bonnie DeLude Smith passed away April 5, 2017 in Kearney, Ne. at Mount Carmel nursing home.

 

Memorial services will be May 16th, 2017 at 1:00 at the Powell Butte Hall in Powell Butte, Oregon with grave side service following at the Powell Butte Cemetery.  Reception at the Powell Butte Hall after the grave side service.

 

Bonnie was born in Prineville, Oregon on February 18,1933 to John and Catherine Warnstaff.  Bonnie spent her life in Oregon until she moved to Kearney, Ne. in 2005 to be with her daughters.

 

In 1949 Bonnie married Robert E. DeLude, together they had three children, Catherine, Mary Kay and Jackie.

 

In 1963 Bonnie graduated from nursing school.

 

In 1973 she married Carl Smith, and became a stepmother to Penny, Sherry and Jim.

 

Survivors include three daughters Catherine Chase and husband Don of Kearney, Ne., Mary Kay Bienke of Kearney, Ne. and Jackie DeLude of Pendleton, Oregon.  Three step children Penny Abbas and husband Butch of Redmond, Oregon, Sherry Matteson and husband Chuck of Fossil, Oregon and Jim Smith and wife Esther of Redmond, Oregon.  Five Grandchildren, and eight Great Grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death, by her two husbands, Grandson Shawn Chase, Sister Virginia Mason and step Brother Sonny Weien.

 

All memorials will go to the “Crystal Peaks Youth Horse Ranch” Bend Oregon.
